Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. announced a leadership transition that will bring Matthew Parrish into the role of CEO and president as current CEO/president Dave Davis retires following nine years leading the company, according to a company press release.
Parrish, who has more than 30 years of experience in the building materials industry, will become the ninth CEO/president in Spahn & Rose’s 122-year history, according to the company.

Dave Davis is retiring after nine years leading Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., a period during which the company expanded its footprint and completed multiple acquisitions.
In a statement, board chair Jim Altman credited Davis with helping guide the company through a period of growth and expansion.
“Under his guidance, the company achieved record growth, expanded market share, and launched key initiatives to support Spahn & Rose’s growth and expansion,” Altman said.
Davis said leading the company had been “an extraordinary privilege” and expressed confidence in the organization’s future leadership and direction.
According to the company, Davis will support the transition process alongside the executive leadership team to help maintain continuity during the leadership change.
Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. said it plans to continue executing its strategic priorities during the transition while maintaining focus on customers, employees and shareholders.
