Jonathan Mize to Succeed Steve Henry as HDA Board Chairman
Hardlines Distribution Alliance (HDA) has announced that Jonathan Mize, CEO and president of Blish-Mize Co., will succeed Steve Henry as chairman of the HDA Board of Directors. The change follows Henry’s previously announced retirement as CEO and president of House-Hasson Hardware Company.
In the April issue of Hardware Connection article “Face-to-Face Still Matters” Henry shared his insights.
Mize began his career at Blish-Mize in 1990 and has served as CEO and president for the past 11 years. He brings extensive board and industry experience to the role, including a decade on the Hardware Group Association board, service as a board member and chairman for Distribution America, and a seat on the HDA board since its formation in 2022.
HDA CEO Steve Synnott said Mize’s background will contribute significantly to the organization’s direction. “As a veteran of the hardware industry for multiple decades, Jonathan’s perspective and expertise will be invaluable as HDA looks for continued growth opportunities and innovative ways to boost collaboration within our network,” Synnott said.
HDA, headquartered in Denver, is a multidivisional international merchandising and marketing organization providing purchasing and marketing services to more than 50 member distributors. With more than $7 billion in annual purchasing strength, the group remains focused on supporting the independent hardware channel.
