Westlake Ace Hardware’s recent activity includes a significant geographic milestone as the retailer prepares to open its first store in Oregon. The company purchased a former Rite Aid Pharmacy in Dallas, a community west of Salem, and plans to remodel the building into an 18,000-square-foot retail space. Renovations are scheduled to begin later this year, with a soft opening targeted for spring 2026. The store will offer a full assortment of home improvement, repair, and maintenance categories, along with services such as key fob replacement, propane tank exchange, and home delivery. It will also feature the Kitchen Connection, Westlake Ace’s store-within-a-store concept focused on cookware, gourmet foods, and kitchen tools. Dallas-area commercial customers will have access to Westlake Commercial’s larger catalog of more than 800,000 products. Fore more information, see Westlake Ace Hardware’s press release

Westlake Ace donated materials, labor, and design support to build the enrichment space, which opened on November 25 in Kansas City. The playground provides steps, ramps, and elevated platforms meant to reduce stress and promote agility and mental stimulation for high-energy dogs. KC Pet Project leaders said the new area will help expand training opportunities and improve the overall experience for animals awaiting adoption.
