Rocky’s Ace Hardware Sponsors Giant Slide, Expands Retail Presence at The Big E Fair

Rocky’s Ace Hardware is doubling down on community engagement by sponsoring the iconic Giant Slide at The Big E and launching two retail activations on-site this year.

The Giant Slide, a 46-foot-tall, 135-foot-long attraction that’s been part of the fair since 1969, remains a crowd favorite. Rocky’s will operate an adjacent “Giant Slide Tent,” offering merchandise ranging from tools and drinkware to trading cards and pet gear, along with an in-fair booth at the Better Living Center featuring grills, workwear and collectibles.

Rocco Falcone, president of Rocky’s Ace, said the effort is designed to blend fun with shopping: “It’s all about creating memorable experiences for the whole family.” Rocky’s is also tying in its annual Pet Round-up fundraiser, allowing fairgoers to round up purchases in support of local animal shelters.

Headquartered in Springfield, Mass., Rocky’s Ace Hardware has 50 locations in nine states, including Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
