House-Hasson Hardware Promotes Taylor Hasson
House-Hasson Hardware Company, America’s largest independent regional hardware distributor, is promoting Taylor Hasson to vice president of strategic retail management.
Taylor, son of the late Don Hasson (former company president and CEO), has served for 13 years as marketing manager and vice president of marketing.
In his new role, Taylor will work with the company’s more than 2,500 dealers, helping them increase their profitability by strategically managing retail pricing and price sensitivity within the many markets served by House-Hasson.
“Our goal is dealer profitability, and Taylor’s deep knowledge of retail pricing and systems used by our dealers will be of great value to them,” said Steve Henry, House-Hasson’s president and CEO. “Taylor has personal relationships with many of our dealers. He knows their stores, he knows their communities, and he knows retail pricing and management. He’s going to be a huge asset for our dealers and their bottom lines.”
A Knoxville, Tenn., native, Taylor has an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration from Tusculum University.
“The most important aspect of this role is being able to improve our dealers’ margins by working directly with them and applying data, analysis, and targeted plans for their respective regional markets,” Taylor said.
“As well as increasing dealers’ margins, we’ll be looking at other aspects of their businesses in terms of retail pricing strategies and programs, point-of-sale systems, and other improvements we can recommend to make dealers more successful operationally and financially,” he added. “I find this new role both a challenge and an opportunity to help our dealers improve their profitability.” Founded in 1906, House-Hasson Hardware serves dealers in 23 states and the Caribbean Basin.
