Duravent Group Receives Investment From Bain Capital

Duravent Group, a Detroit, Michigan-based manufacturer of venting and air quality products, has received a strategic investment from Bain Capital, the companies announced. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Bain Capital will join existing investor Egeria in backing the company, working alongside Duravent’s leadership team, led by president and CEO Simon A. Davis. The investment is intended to support the company’s growth through a combination of internal expansion and potential acquisitions.

Duravent Group operates 14 brands across North America, with manufacturing and distribution locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company traces its origins to 1901 and has built its business around venting systems and air movement products used in residential and commercial applications.

Company officials said the added investment will provide resources to expand operations and build on its position in the venting and air quality categories. Bain Capital pointed to Duravent’s scale and product offering as factors in the investment, along with opportunities to grow the business further.

Egeria, which previously invested in Duravent, will remain involved as a partner. The firm’s continued participation reflects its longer-term investment strategy.
