Walker Brothers Hardware Celebrated Grand Opening Event
Walker Brothers Hardware in Georgetown, S.C., celebrated its grand opening with a weekend full of giveaways and savings opportunities for home improvement shoppers. The celebration started Friday, April 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, featuring representatives from the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout the weekend, shoppers enjoyed free popcorn, prize drawings and giveaways. They were also provided in-store savings opportunities like $10 propane refills, and with the $1 purchase of a five-gallon bucket, attendees received a 20 percent discount on everything they could fit inside it.
“We’ve been humbled by the customer response,” said Owner David Walker. “Since we opened, the Georgetown community has been so supportive, and it was great to be able to return the favor with a fun, family-friendly event.”
Walker Brothers Hardware is a Do it Best member that carries a wide variety of products, including tools, builders hardware, plumbing and electrical, heating, lawn and garden, sporting goods, housewares, paint and sundries, hunting and fishing supplies, and much more.
Entrepreneurs and brothers David and Terry Walker aren’t new to the home improvement industry—or to the Georgetown area. They previously owned a store outside Nashville, Tenn., for several years, but decided to sell and move back to their hometown. Now, they operate Walker Brothers Hardware alongside their spouses and children.
