Do it Best Goes Virtual for Spring Market, Names New Sales VP

Do it Best Corp. announced a plan to continue their successful virtual market format for their spring 2022 event. This market, featuring the best buying opportunities of the season from the nation’s top vendors, will now be available online from February 11–25.

“In our conversations with members, key vendors and staff, we’ve been evaluating our spring market options in light of the business continuity disruptions, potential travel challenges, and health and safety issues driven by the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic,” said Vice President of Marketing Rich Lynch. “We don’t take this decision lightly, but with two successful virtual markets already under our belt and a well-received hybrid market last fall, the best option is to move our spring event exclusively online.”

The spring market will offer outstanding buying opportunities, including the popular Sneak Peek and Cyber Steals, and introduce Core Solutions: The Ultimate Hardware Destination. The online event will also feature a business update from President and CEO Dan Starr, strategic buying presentations from Do it Best lumber, building materials, merchandising, and marketing experts as well as educational training sessions from industry veterans.

The next Do it Best Fall Market is scheduled for September 9–12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Greg Fuller

In other company news, Do it Best also announced the promotion of Greg Fuller to vice president of sales and business development, effective immediately. Formerly the company’s national sales manager, Fuller will now be responsible for leading the entire sales team in driving traffic, sales and profits for Do it Best member-owners.

Fuller was selected to fill the opening created when Nick Talarico was recently named vice president of ecommerce. “I’m glad that we had a ready candidate within Do it Best to succeed Nick,” said President and CEO Dan Starr. “As our national sales manager, Greg led a transformation of the sales team that has sharpened our sales- and results-driven focus, strengthening our ability to help our members build for growth.”

Before joining Do it Best in 2016 as a regional manager, Fuller was the president of a large Do it Best home center in southern California. “As a long-time retailer, Greg has a tremendous understanding of the member mindset. I know he’ll build on the sales-driving successes our team and our members have achieved to push us all to even greater heights,” Starr added. “I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve already accomplished to align our team and our members for continued success,” Fuller said. “We’re in a much stronger position today to fuel that growth by earning a higher share of every member’s product purchases while bringing on more new members into the Do it Best family.”
