The Mead family, founders of Mead Lumber, have made a significant donation to Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, Neb., leading to the naming of the forthcoming Mead Family Cancer Center. The 26,500-square-foot facility will consolidate oncology services, including infusion therapy, radiation oncology, and PET/CT imaging, under one roof. Set to open in fall 2026, the center aims to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care to the Columbus community.
