The industry’s premier event for the independent retail hardware channel offers an awards program that was launched in 2013 to recognize the “best of the best” retailers. The Beacon Awards are co-sponsored by The Hardware Conference and The Hardware Connection. Epicor, Ettore Products, Do it Best Corp. and Orgill provide additional sponsorship support for the program.
Since The Hardware Conference was forced to cancel last year due to the pandemic, the 2020 Beacon Award winners will be recognized during Friday evening’s banquet. Two Retail Beacon Award winners will be honored along with eight retailers recognized for their community service initiatives during the pandemic.
Then on Saturday evening the 2021 Beacon Award winners will be honored, including Retail Beacon winners for each sponsoring wholesaler and Best New Stores. All Beacon winners will receive all-expense paid trips for two to the 2021 Hardware Conference including conference registration, airfare, hotel and meals. They will also receive a special Beacon Award trophy and be featured in an article in The Hardware Connection.
