Aubuchon Company Acquires Two Wolf Family Hardware Stores in Connecticut

The Aubuchon Company has announced the acquisition of two Wolf Family Hardware stores in Woodbury and Watertown, Conn. This move expands Aubuchon’s footprint to 130 stores across 10 states, including five in Connecticut.
The transaction is set to close on July 8, 2025. Post-acquisition, the Woodbury and Watertown locations will continue operating under the Ace Hardware brand, maintaining continuity for their customer base.
Chris Wolf, owner of Wolf Family Hardware and nephew of founder Ken Reisinger, will retain ownership of the Kent and Bethlehem stores.

The acquisition of the Wolf Family Hardware stores aligns with Aubuchon’s ongoing strategy to partner with community-focused, family-run hardware businesses.
This acquisition marks Aubuchon’s continued expansion in the Northeast, reinforcing its commitment to serving local communities through trusted, family-owned hardware stores.
