House-Hasson Sets Attendance Records With January Show
House-Hasson Hardware is off to a promising start to 2024, after hosting a record-setting show this past weekend. The company held its “Leap into Savings” Dealer Market January 26-27 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
“We had a whole lot happening on the show floor,” said Steve Henry, president and CEO. “Last year we had 453 vendors and this year we have 568 with over 1,000 booths. We’re out of space here in the exhibit hall.” Company officials say they had to turn away vendors from this January show, because they ran out of space. A record number of new dealers and prospects was in attendance.
Henry announced that the company has also outgrown the exhibit space available for its other markets in Sevierville, Tenn. It will still hold its “Gateway to Summer” Dealer Market June 13-15 in Sevierville, but House-Hasson’s Fall Dealer Market will now be held October 11-12, 2024, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. “That will be something new for us, and our dealers will be able to race to Charlotte to see even more of the great deals we’ve been offering,” Henry said.
House-Hasson dealers were able to take advantage of Bonus Buy Breakfast deals on Friday and Saturday morning, with discounts up to 50 percent. They were also given rebate checks for their 2023 purchases.
On Saturday, Henry addressed a completely full ballroom of dealers for the second Bonus Buy Breakfast. “Yesterday was an awesome day,” he said. “This is by far the best show we’ve ever had.”
Ben Ginn, who operates Ginn Hardware & Auto Parts in Vanceburg, Ky., with his father Rodney, and uncle, Kevin Ginn, was walking the show floor with his House-Hasson territory manager, Gary Keck. “We’re definitely finding some good deals,” Ginn said. “We’re still looking to add some assortments to our newly remodeled store.”
House-Hasson is in the process of rolling out a new ProfitPoint electronic communications system with enhanced features for retail customers. J. Bonnell, chief information officer and vice president of technology infrastructure, noted that House-Hasson has updated all of its technology infrastructure over the past two years. “Our infrastructure is what allows us to properly serve our customers, to pick orders and to load orders. We’re able to service our customers very well,” he said.
