United Hardware’s President and CEO Doug Audette has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.
The organization is confident and excited to announce the appointment of Chad Ruth as interim president and CEO. Ruth brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role and has been with the company for more than 15 years.
Ruth previously served as vice president of merchandising and retail operations for the past two years. He has served many roles at United Hardware including vice president of sales, vice president of sales and marketing, vice president of retail growth initiatives, director of power programs and division manager of United Garden & Home.
Before joining United Hardware, Ruth was a Hardware Hank dealer and for nine years the president and co-owner of Lyndale Gardens & Hardware, a retail garden hardware store in Richfield, Minn.
As interim president and CEO, Ruth will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and operations of the company. He will work closely with the company’s leadership team and employees to drive growth and ensure that they continue to provide exceptional products and services to their members.
