Ten Years, $1.7 Million: Oatey Deepens Commitment to Cancer Research

Team Oatey celebrates at the Bike to Cure finish line after raising a record $353,600 in 2025, bringing the company’s decade-long VeloSano total to more than $1.7 million.

Cleveland, Ohio-based Oatey marked a decade of participation in VeloSano’s Bike to Cure event by reporting a record fundraising year, contributing $353,600 in 2025 and bringing its 10-year total to more than $1.7 million. Since joining the Cleveland Clinic fundraising movement in 2014, Oatey’s support has helped fund 13 cancer research projects, part of the $95 million VeloSano has raised to date for life-saving cancer research, with 100 percent of all dollars supporting research initiatives.

The Bike to Cure weekend has become a defining event for Oatey, drawing associates, families, friends and business partners to downtown Cleveland each year to ride alongside thousands of participants united in advancing cancer research. The company’s sustained engagement earned VeloSano’s All In Award in 2021, recognizing exceptional organizational commitment.

“From my very first ride ten years ago to today, being part of Team Oatey has been such an incredibly rewarding journey,” said Jaime Cleary, Oatey’s manager of environmental health and safety services. “Each year, I’m amazed by how our team comes together with so much heart and dedication.”

Cleary served as a co-captain of Team Oatey along with Cindy Greiner, Connie Pho and Meghan Smith. In a company press release, Oatey emphasized that its decade of involvement reflects a long-standing cultural focus on community and shared purpose as the company continues supporting VeloSano’s mission to advance cancer research.
