Orgill Recognizes Standout Vendors; Tours Debut Innovation Center

Clay Jackson, Orgill’s executive vice president and COO, speaks at the Vendor Partnership Conference, calling it “where strategy and partnership come together.”

Orgill recognized several manufacturers with Excellence Awards during its annual Vendor Partnership Conference this week, an event that also gave suppliers a first look at the distributor’s newly opened Innovation Center.

“It is no secret that a big part of our success is owed to the vendors we work with on a daily basis,” said Boyden Moore, Orgill president and CEO. “Without their ongoing support and collaboration, we would simply not be able to fulfill our mission to help our customers be successful. This week, this event and these awards are all designed to strengthen these relationships, reinforce our vision and celebrate the support we get from our vendor partners.”

Originally staged alongside Orgill’s Dealer Markets as “Vendor Week,” the conference has evolved into a hybrid forum aligning merchandising, supply chain and retail services teams with strategic suppliers.

“Our Vendor Conference is an event where strategy and partnership come together,” said Clay Jackson, executive vice president and COO. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate success, collaborate with our vendors, and plan how we’ll grow together. Every success we achieve as a company is built on the strength of these relationships.”

Attendees also toured Orgill’s 553,000-square-foot Innovation Center, adjacent to headquarters, which serves as a year-round setting for testing retail concepts, merchandising strategies and technology.

“The Innovation Center is a game-changer for how we collaborate with our vendors and our customers,” said David Mobley, executive vice president of sales. “It enables us to advance the level of customization we offer and provide proven solutions that enhance our customers’ competitive edge.”

In addition to tours, the conference featured planning sessions and performance reviews focused on supply chain efficiency, product innovation and customer success. “Attendance exceeded expectations, and we had strong participation from both long-time partners and new suppliers eager to align with Orgill’s growth strategy,” said Alan Shore, purchasing director of seasonal merchandising.

Stanley Black & Decker is recognized as Orgill’s Outstanding Partner of the Year, honoring superior performance and collaboration across the channel.

“These partners represent the best of what collaboration can accomplish,” Jackson said. “Each one of these vendors were recognized for going above and beyond to help our customers succeed—through performance, innovation, reliability and a shared commitment to excellence.”

Vendor representatives cited Orgill’s collaborative approach. “We are very appreciative to win our award,” said Anna Geyfmann, Valspar director of sales. “It’s a true testament to our team’s working together. We value Orgill’s transparency and communication as we remain fully on board with helping our customers succeed.”

Ryan Long of recteq called the recognition “truly inspiring” in the company’s first year partnering with Orgill, while Matt Fletcher of Stanley Black & Decker said the award was “a testament to partnership and team collaboration.”

“This event isn’t just about recognizing the past year’s achievements—it’s about reinforcing the kind of partnerships that set the stage for growth in the future,” said Heath Kennedy, purchasing director of hardlines merchandise. “Judging by the engagement we saw this week and the shared optimism about where our industry is headed, we are all very excited about what lies ahead.”
