Griffin Ace Hardware can help with everything from home repair to housewarming gifts. The family-owned business offers the tools needed for home repair, as well as expert advice on how to get the job done.

Stacey Jess, vice president of marketing and third generation of Griffins to run the family’s hardware stores, said her family’s goal is to help homeowners fix, maintain and improve their homes, writes Emily Sorensen in the San Diego Union Tribune.

“We want to help them to come in, get what they need quickly and get on with their lives,” Jess said. “If they need it, we will walk them through every step (of a home project).” Jess said the business aims to be a full-service hardware store, which includes employing people who have the knowledge to guide customers through projects, or help them decide on colors in the paint department.

The store offers the basic categories of paint, barbecue supplies, home repair and gifts, as well as all other basic hardware needs.

“Other stores don’t have as wide a selection and don’t have time to help you fix that leaky toilet without calling a plumber, or pick the best paint color,” she said.

The store also sets itself apart by offering home decor and other gifts, which are selected by Jess, her sister and their mother. The items include unique candles, greeting cards and baby clothes. They also have special offerings for the winter holidays.
