John, Marcia, and Justin Wagner, owners and operators of Germantown Hardware in Germantown, Tenn., have agreed to sell their business and operating assets to Central Network Retail Group (CNRG), a multi-format, multi-brand retailer currently operating 110 hardware stores, home centers and lumberyards in 16 states.

โ€œOur family has truly enjoyed the opportunity to serve the Germantown community over the years and we are highly confident in CNRGโ€™s ability to carry on the business going forward,โ€ John Wagner said. โ€œI am especially proud to be turning the store over to another business from the Memphis area.โ€ Wagner and his family have owned the store since 2000.

Germantown Hardware will retain its name and will operate as CNRGโ€™s 17th brand. The store currently offers a full assortment of outdoor power equipment, grills and other outdoor living products, hardware, plumbing, electrical, and lawn and garden supplies. The store also features a shop for small engine repair.

โ€œWe have wanted a store in the Memphis area for a long time and Germantown Hardware is the perfect place for CNRG to start,โ€ said John Sieggreen, CNRG president. โ€œThe store has a great reputation with local customers, known for providing service with a smile and being a โ€˜real hardware store.โ€™ We are thrilled to have them on our team.โ€
