Nation’s Best promotes Kim Peffley to chief operating officer

Nation’s Best has promoted Kim Peffley to chief operating officer, effective April 12, 2026.
Peffley most recently served as regional vice president of the company’s North Region, where she led efforts to improve operational performance and strengthen leadership across stores. The company says her work in that role helped advance consistency and execution throughout the region.
Peffley brings more than 30 years of experience in the independent home improvement industry. Her background includes leadership roles in multi-store retail operations as well as consulting work with the North American Hardware and Paint Association, where she advised independent retailers on operations, leadership development and profitability.
“Kim is a proven leader with deep industry expertise and a passion for developing people,” said Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best. “Her ability to drive results while building strong, capable teams makes her the right leader to help guide our operations as we continue to grow.”
Peffley is also known in the industry for her “Ask Kim” column and was recently recognized with the NHS Concept to Commerce How Women Rise: Leadership Excellence Award.
In her new role, she will oversee operations across Nation’s Best, with a focus on consistency, leadership development and continued growth.
