Orgill Rolls Out Expanded Lines of Structural Connectors, Fasteners, Cleaning Supplies
To help retailers provide stronger assortments, Orgill recently announced expanded partnerships with several industry-leading manufacturers including Simpson Strong-Tie, Libman, E-Cloth, O-Cedar and Swiffer.
Those attending the Orgill Spring Dealer Market at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from Feb. 22-24, will be able to explore these new products and see how their merchandising can fit within their hardware stores.
“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the products and services we offer our customers, and we are very pleased to have been able to secure relationships with a range of new vendors that are well known for their product quality, breadth of offerings and support for independent retailers,” says Boyden Moore, Orgill’s president and CEO.
Expanding relationships offering deeper product selections with vendors such as Simpson Strong-Tie and Libman enables Orgill to better serve the variety of retail stores Orgill supplies, according to Moore.
“Orgill serves retail customers from single-location hardware stores to pro-focused lumberyards to farm and ranch dealers and we are committed to supporting them all,” Moore says. “We offer one of the broadest product ranges in the industry with premium brands so our customers can be the go-to source for home improvement and building supplies within their communities.”
800+ New Simpson Strong-Tie SKUs Added
Orgill’s expanded partnership with Simpson Strong-Tie means that hardware retailers will have access to more than 800 new products and assortments which include advanced power-fastener systems, anchors, construction fasteners and covering connectors.
“Simpson Strong-Tie products are so well known in the construction industry that the brand name is really synonymous with the products they produce,” says Heath Kennedy, Orgill’s director of hardlines merchandise. “Because we will now be offering a dominant assortment from Simpson, it will undoubtedly help our customers secure more business, create renewed relationships in their markets and drive traffic to their stores.”
Orgill’s new program with Simpson Strong-Tie enhances product availability and also includes tailored planograms and assortments, ensuring hardware retailers can match their store’s assortment to their customer base. From farm and ranch retailers to hardware stores, home centers, and professional contractor needs, Orgill’s approach will help hardware retailers merchandise the optimal selection of construction fasteners.
“This is not a one-size-fits-all program,” says Kennedy. “There was attention to detail put into this entire process. Both Orgill and Simpson Strong-Tie are very committed to building this relationship and putting together a program the right way from start to finish.”
In addition to the expanded product offering and customized assortments, Simpson Strong-Tie will also provide a support and training program for retailers. This resource will help ensure that hardware retailers can provide guidance and support to customers including contractors and professional builders.
“We are dedicated to providing exceptional service to the pro builder market, which includes ensuring they have access to our products whenever they need them,” says Don Gormsen, vice president of national accounts for Simpson Strong-Tie. “Not only does Orgill service the suppliers in the pro segment, but they also have significant reach into the hardware store and home improvement side of the industry. We saw this alliance as a great opportunity for both companies to extend our solutions and support to a broader range of end users.”
Orgill Smart Start Program Revamps Cleaning Category
The distributor’s new cleaning product category offering represents a significant reimagining for retailers and promises to elevate the presence of this growing category. In addition to the additional SKUs, this program, which Orgill has named Smart Start, will better help hardware retailers manage inventory.
Focused on smallwares and sweeping, the Orgill Smart Start program will offer a 128-SKU assortment with a 25 percent discount on select products.
The new range from Libman encompasses household cleaning products catering to residential needs and professionals. Orgill’s new strategic alliance widens the range of cleaning solutions available but also provides hardware retailers with an excellent opportunity to streamline their inventory and convert assortments into warehouse-supported programs.
Along with the Libman program, Orgill is expanding its offerings with other leading brands in the cleaning industry. This includes modern and efficient cleaning solutions from O-Cedar, environmentally friendly microfiber items from E-Cloth, and a groundbreaking product, the PowerMop, from Swiffer.
