Nyberg’s Ace Celebrates 65 Years of Business

Nyberg’s Ace Hardware started as a small 3,500-square-foot store on Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls, S. D. Sixty-five years later and under Kevin Nyberg’s leadership, Nyberg’s Ace has now grown to five stores in Sioux Falls and one in Watertown, S.D., continuing Kevin’s father and founder Roy Nyberg’s legacy.

Not many businesses, particularly family-owned retail businesses, are able to stand the test of time. However, strong and steady locally- and family-owned business, Nyberg’s Ace, has proven itself for over six decades by sticking to its core values of offering legendary customer service, great selection and convenient locations.

The root of Nyberg’s Ace’s longevity is offering conveniences such as neighborhood locations, close parking, a helpful and trained staff, and a number of services that are hard to find. Services like window and screen repair, knife sharpening, hunting & fishing licenses, key cutting…All six locations offer a full-line paint department, a paint store within a store.  Nyberg’s Ace was the first to offer, and continues to offer, a variety of seminars to further

educate shoppers and offer value to their purchasing decisions, such as canning seminars, Grill ‘n Smoke grilling classes and Scandinavian lefse seminars.

Nyberg’s Ace strives to offer a wide array of products to Sioux Falls, and was the first to bring several products and well-known brands to the Sioux Falls area including the first to offer Weber grills to Sioux Falls 65 years ago.

Nyberg’s Ace also takes pride in supporting and giving back to the community through round-ups at POS, selling ornaments and books for charity during the holidays, collecting winter apparel for local shelters, supporting veterans and so much more.
