Do it Best Shares Proven Solutions to Drive Success at Fall Market

The Solutions in Action area was on the exhibit floor is a full-size home center exhibit that showcases best merchandising practices.

Do it Best kicked off its fall market Friday at the Indiana Convention Center, eagerly welcoming member-owners and vendors from across the country. The annual event, held September 9–12 this year, offers key industry insights, proven best practices and exclusive purchasing opportunities. With the theme of Solutions for Your Success, the Do it Best team will share the diverse offerings the co-op will provide to drive member growth in the year ahead. 

Highlights of the event include the Merchandising Preview and Power Preview. The Merchandising Preview provided a high-energy, high-impact overview of top new products, specials and vendor exclusive products prior to the opening of the market floor. The Power Preview, held in a new location across from Lucas Oil Stadium, allowed members to try out the latest power tools and grilling equipment while sampling mouth-watering dishes from grillmasters representing top vendors.

This year, members also gained access to Solutions in Action, a full-size home center exhibit featuring best practices for merchandising, lighting, layout and branding, along with comprehensive ecommerce integration. This real-world example allows members to see the customer journey in-store and online, wrapped in the modern style, bright open floor plans and engaging displays of Signature Store Design™. Each aspect has been thoughtfully developed by Do it Best to equip members with tools to create an outstanding shopping experience for their customers.

The four-day event schedule is packed with new product reveals, free seminars on operational excellence and marketing expertise, and exclusive deals on in-demand products. The fall market creates an atmosphere of open collaboration where members are encouraged to connect with their fellow business owners to share best practices, challenge conventional thinking and inspire new ideas for growth. 

“This year’s market offers an incredible opportunity to our members,” said Dan Starr, Do it Best president and CEO. “Our team has gone above and beyond to help them see how our proven solutions can impact their business.” 

The Market Kickoff gave members a chance to learn about new growth opportunities.

The market opened Friday with the Power Preview, LBM Industry Update and Merchandising Preview, each of which offered members a chance to maximize their purchasing game plan before they hit the market floor. Through the weekend, members will hear about growth opportunities at the Market Kickoff, Shareholder’s Meeting and President’s Address; gain expertise in business growth, leadership, technology and products with a series of free educational seminars and workshops; and network with other members at the Market Mixer and LBM Reception. 

“The Do it Best Fall Market is where our members go to dive into deals, discover new products and assortments, network with fellow members and vendors, and gain insights from industry experts to help them drive sales,” said Starr. “We look forward to helping them discover proven solutions that will put them in the best position for success now and into the future.”
