TAL Holdings Strengthens Presence in Western Montana with Acquisition
TAL Holdings, one of the fastest-growing family-owned building material centers in the Pacific Northwest, announced its agreement in principle to acquire Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center, a two-store chain in western Montana.

In 1995, Greg and Robin Winden founded Beaverhead Home Center in Dillon, Mont. Ennis Lumber Company, formerly known as Madison Lumber and located in Ennis, Mont, combined their operations with Beaverhead Home Center in 2012.
Greg Winden, co-founder of the stores, said, “We’re excited to partner with TAL, as their commitment to quality and service aligns with our values.”
In early June 2023, TAL will officially welcome both Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center into its growing family, where the stores will continue to operate under their respective names.
“This addition will strengthen our presence in the Western Montana region and bring with it a wonderful group of employees,” Blair added.
With this acquisition, TAL’s footprint will expand to a total of 32 locations across Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington, further cementing its commitment to the Pacific Northwest region.
