Orgill Announces Craig Cowart as New CNRG President

Craig Cowart, newly named president of CNRG, brings more than 25 years of experience across retail, distribution, and leadership roles at Marvin’s, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and Fulcrum Building Group.

Central Network Retail Group (CNRG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Orgill Inc., has announced the promotion of Craig Cowart to the role of president, effective July 1, 2025. Cowart currently serves as chief operating officer and will succeed current president John Sieggreen, who is set to retire from Orgill in the second quarter of 2026.

Cowart brings decades of home improvement industry experience to the role, having held senior leadership positions at Marvin’s, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and most recently serving as CEO of Fulcrum Building Group. He was named COO of CNRG in January 2024.

“I have had the pleasure of working alongside Craig over the past 34 years in many different situations and know him to be a dedicated and excellent leader,” said Orgill president and CEO Boyden Moore. “I couldn’t be happier to have him take over leadership of CNRG. He will do a great job.”

Germantown Hardware is one of 18 regional brands that make up CNRG’s 143-store footprint across 16 states.

Sieggreen also voiced his support for the transition: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as president of CNRG and I can’t think of a better successor than Craig Cowart. I look forward to seeing the business continue to advance in the years to come under Craig’s guidance.”

Cowart will report to Clay Jackson, Orgill’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, who joined the company in January following a 20-year tenure with Tractor Supply Company.

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead CNRG through its next chapter,” Cowart said. “We have a solid team in place and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

Founded in 2011, CNRG operates 143 retail locations across 16 states under 18 regional banners. Its portfolio includes brands such as Marvin’s, Parkrose Hardware, Frattallone’s Hardware & Garden, and Germantown Hardware.

In the September 2024 issue of Hardware Connection, we sat down with John Sieggreen, executive vice president of retail at Orgill and president of Central Network Retail Group (CNRG), along with newly appointed CNRG president Craig Cowart. In a wide-ranging interview, the two leaders discussed CNRG’s evolving role within Orgill’s overall strategy, how the group balances local autonomy with shared operational support, and what Cowart’s leadership will bring to the table. Together, they outlined a vision for continued growth, innovation, and retailer success across the CNRG family of stores. Read that interview here
