House-Hasson’s Bonus Buy Breakfasts drew a packed room as retailers filled the space to take advantage of exclusive buying opportunities and show specials.
With the theme of “Nailed It!” the House-Hasson’s January Dealer Market, January 30 to February 1 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, set new attendance records for both retailers and vendors. The three-day event brought independent hardware dealers together for buying opportunities, networking, and new product exploration.
Retailers took advantage of show specials and House-Hasson’s Bonus Buy Breakfasts, which continue to be a key feature of the event. The distributor’s ongoing integration of Bostwick-Braun retailers, following last year’s acquisition, was also reflected in the show.
“We feel honored and privileged to partner with the best dealers and vendors in the industry,” said House-Hasson President and CEO Steve Henry. “We don’t ever want to take them for granted, and it is when we have such a successful event as our January show that we are reminded of how fortunate we are. I guess that we can say we Nailed It!”
Country band Rodeo Disco took the stage Friday night, entertaining a full crowd of retailers and vendors after they wrapped up a busy day of buying and networking at the House-Hasson market.
The event also featured entertainment, with country band Rodeo Disco performing on Friday night. For many independent dealers, the market is a vital part of their buying calendar. Phillip McIntosh of Fleming Lumber Co. in Cleveland, Miss., has been attending for a decade and values the ability to see products firsthand.
“I’ve always enjoyed the House-Hasson market—so much to look at, so many new products, great prices,” McIntosh said. “Spring is generally our biggest show where we’re booking up for summer, so this is one of our more important shows right here.”
The event also allows retailers to experiment with new product lines and expand their inventory beyond traditional hardware categories. McIntosh frequently brings in items such as grill accessories, small kitchen appliances, or barbecue seasoning, using the market as an opportunity to test new offerings.
“We feel honored and privileged to partner with the best dealers and vendors in the industry,” said House-Hasson President and CEO Steve Henry, as the January Dealer Market set new records for attendance and sales. “I guess that we can say we Nailed It!”
Drew McKenzie of McKenzie Lumber Co. in Rich Creek, Va., who has been a House-Hasson customer for six years, also attended the event. “It’s informative,” McKenzie said. “I have a good sense of the new products and what we’re looking to buy.”
The next House-Hasson market, the Rise & Shine Summertime Show & Market, is scheduled for June 12-14 at the Sevierville Convention Center in Sevierville, Tenn.
