Connolly’s Do it Best Hardware Demonstrates Commitment to Building Local Community
Against the backdrop of rapid inflation and rising consumer prices, Connolly’s Do it Best® Hardware & Rental is taking action and demonstrating its commitment to supporting the local community through a series of customer-focused events.
Starting in early April, Connolly’s began the process of lowering prices on more than 90,000 items across its five Fort Wayne home improvement locations. To celebrate these lower prices that will help shoppers complete their spring and summer projects more cost-effectively, they’re hosting an “Inflation Vacation” event. And running through the end of May, the event spotlights vacation-themed décor and giveaways, in addition to new, lower prices on merchandise storewide.
Unlike a typical promotional event, however, these prices won’t go back up anytime soon. Connolly’s leadership is ensuring DIYers and contractors alike have access to high-quality products at affordable prices.
“It seems like the cost of doing life is going up everywhere else, and that can be really discouraging,” said Division Manager Grant Umber. “We want Connolly’s to be a refreshing change from that, both now and in the future. That’s why we’re committed to lowering prices and keeping them that way. And we think that’s worth celebrating.”
The Connolly’s team has partnered with community groups, including the Snider High School marching band, to help with the massive price reduction project and update all the price stickers. As a thank you to recognize their work, Connolly’s will make generous donations to each organization.
Throughout the rest of the year, Connolly’s will host in-store events to bring together neighbors for celebrations of all kinds, including a June carnival at the Dupont location, featuring games, food trucks and firetrucks; a late summer grand-reopening sale at the Southgate location; and a late fall Ladies’ Night event at the Illinois Road location.
Connolly’s will also continue to support the Fort Wayne community by improving shopping experiences across its local stores. This includes bright new flooring, thousands of additional products to their in-store selections, a full remodel of the Southgate location and a full store reset at three other locations.
The team is also looking at ways to enhance their commercial and contractor programs as an added benefit to area pros.
