Do it Best Announces Next Steps in Driving Sales Growth
Do it Best Corp. President and CEO Dan Starr shared a message with Do it Best member-owners on January 10 detailing the company’s commitment to substantially increasing store sales, customer counts and traffic through a more highly focused and expanded ecommerce team, led by a new vice president of ecommerce.
“We have been actively helping our members grow their businesses for years by expanding locations, adding new ones and acquiring others,” said Starr. “And we’ll continue to do that. We also want to take steps to ensure that they remain positioned to capture the growth that can come with ecommerce.” He pinpointed the exponential growth of BOPIS, or buy online pick up in-store, as a key focus area for the team.
To lead the company’s growth focus in online sales, Do it Best has selected Nick Talarico to serve as vice president of ecommerce, effective immediately. Talarico, who previously served as the co-op’s vice president of sales and business development, will lead a strengthened and dedicated team to give ecommerce the focus and resources it’ll require.
“He’ll leverage his extensive experience in leading sales-driving initiatives and change management, bolstered by his ability to assemble and lead high-performing teams, to work across our company and with our members to get things done,” added Starr. “Enhanced ecommerce success will require many things. Nick’s leading of this team is a significant step, one of many. I’m confident that Nick and the ecommerce team will address these needs and move us well down the path of ecommerce excellence.”
Starr concluded his message by sharing there will be more to announce in the coming months.
