Nation’s Best Acquires Another Texas Home Center

Nation’s Best, one of the fastest-growing home improvement companies in the U.S., announced their acquisition of Cain Hardware & Lumber in Carthage, Texas. This addition brings the total number of locations in Texas to 19.

Starting alongside his father in 1974, Paul Cain and his wife Penny have grown the home center to become a one-stop destination for the area’s home improvement shoppers. With a fully stocked lumberyard, a strong hardlines assortment, and the region’s largest paint store, Cain Hardware & Lumber was an attractive acquisition for Nation’s Best.

Cain Hardware & Lumber joins 18 other Nation’s Best locations in Texas, further strengthening their presence in the state. Nation’s Best will lease the property from the Cain family. As part of Nation’s Best’s strategy, Cain Hardware & Lumber will maintain operations under their existing name and retain the team overseeing company operations alongside Nation’s Best, which will provide the strategic and financial support necessary to drive optimal growth and profitability.
