Do it Best Recognizes 2025 Members of the Year

Do it Best has introduced a new recognition program to honor independent retailers across its co-op network, naming its first-ever Members of the Year for 2025.

The co-op’s sales team created the award to highlight business owners who combine strong performance with leadership and community involvement. the inaugural recipients were chosen for their ability to create welcoming spaces for contractors and DIYers, support local initiatives, and strengthen their regional economies, according to the company.

“These awards spotlight independent retailers who are not only successful operators but also important community leaders,” said Do it Best President Nick Talarico. “Their work demonstrates the central role hardware and building supply stores play in strengthening local communities.”

Do it Best officials described the Member of the Year honor as one of the cooperative’s highest recognitions. 

The 2025 awards recognize members across three categories: stores under 5,000 square feet, stores between 5,000 and 12,000 square feet, and stores larger than 12,000 square feet. Honorees in each category were selected for excelling within their market size and demonstrating outstanding service to their communities.
